This month, we had twelve people join us for our evangelization in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and we held our first outreaches out of Ohio during our first Catholics for Life trip to the March for Life!
We are at the abortion facilities to advocate for every child, but we realize only some mothers will respond to our pleadings to help her and her baby. We pray for them all!
This spring included some shocking discoveries: the 115 aborted babies were retrieved at the Washington Surgi Center (five of them late-term) and the leak of Justice Alito’s draft majority opinion that would overturn Roe.
The final weeks of Lent and first weeks of Easter were both full of outreaches defending the sanctity of life and sharing the good news of our Resurrected Lord!
“Then Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the LORD…’” -Luke 1:46 All that Mary does perfectly gives glory to God. By entrusting all that we are and all that we have to Jesus in Mary, we can be sure that she uses all we offer to glorify God in the greatest possible way- much outside our own ability.
Multiple Torchbearers traveled to our nation’s capital for the March for Life on January 21st. We went to the National Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for the National Prayer Vigil for Life Mass with thousands. While there, we prayed for the enthronement of Our Lady of America’s statue as She requested and an end to Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs decision. The week after the march, I was...
I parked outside of Planned Parenthood at 7:45am one morning to find only one staff member in the parking lot. She was clapping to worship music, crying, and saying “thank you Lord” over and over. I approached her later when she was exiting her vehicle and said, “I heard you praying and singing. Why are you here?” She told me she has to make money, but I shared with here that there is a ministry (AbortionWorker.com) to help her get a new job ran by other people who have left the abortion industry. I made it clear that she does not have to keep being part of the death that happens there.
This has been a wild and blessed year for Catholics for Life. After starting our apostolate on January 1st, we have spent the last twelve months striving to love the least of these in the womb while working to share the Gospel of Life with hurting souls.
We had a dozen people attend our November Torchbearers event! Planned Parenthood was closed for a whole week this month! We took two vans and a total of twenty-one people to the National Men’s March to End Abortion in Baltimore, MD during the fall USCCB meeting. This month also marked the notable meeting of Pope Francis and President Biden. I was invited to do a pro-life apologetics training for the Toledo Diocese Catholic Charity’s Academy for Life kick-off.
The body of an aborted baby was discovered in our home state of Ohio. Read about a rescue that took place that could have saved her and her tragic death and burial. Our Torchbearers initiative continues to grow and more mothers are helped outside Planned Parenthood! Hear the story behind these two quotes and more: “This conversation just shook my whole world!” “We saved a life today!”
One day outside of Planned Parenthood resulted in two mothers turned away and six people changing their minds on abortion! Praise God! We also had our largest ever Torchbearers event!
Planned Parenthood's business has dropped significantly, closing their facility multiple days a week sometimes. Our sidewalk counseling and evangelization efforts are as fruitful as ever though!
Our street evangelization and even our counseling at efforts at Planned Parenthood allow us to meet and minsiter to so many with the truth of abortion and the gospel!
