The two most important goals of Catholics for Life have been bringing our Eucharistic Lord in procession to Columbus’s abortion facilities and to make sure that every hour our city’s two facilities are open, Christians are there. In June, Our Lord brought about both these hopes by His grace!

The National Eucharistic Revival called for by the United States bishops included four cross-country Eucharistic pilgrimages. One of the routes of walking pilgrims processing with Our Lord in a monstrance passed through Columbus, OH. We immediately felt inspired to work with the diocese to see if the pilgrimage could bring Jesus to our abortion facilities. Plans were made to process the Bread of Life who gives Himself as food (John 6:48-56) from a church to Planned Parenthood. Jesus proclaimed, “This is My Body” given up for us in His sacrifice (Lk. 22:19). Now miraculously with us always (Mt. 28:20) under the appearance of bread in the gift of the Eucharist, Jesus allowed us to bring Him to our city’s last surgical abortion facility. On June 27^th, the greatest avenue of grace we have was processed and placed in front of Planned Parenthood.

Jesus whose presence is hidden under the appearance of bread visited the preborn whose presence is hidden inside their mother’s wombs. The Bread of Life came to defend the right to life of preborn children. He who gave His Body to conquer death brought Himself to protect the bodies of children from the culture of death. His Resurrected Body came to rise souls from eternal death. It was such a powerful encounter that we know graces will continue to be poured out from it for the closing of that facility, an end to abortion in our city, the salvation of souls, and the glory of God!

Our second goal was to have a constant presence at the local facilities whenever they are open. Christians were only present for about 10 hours a week at the places that kill 10 children a day before Catholics for Life was founded and Jesus convicted us to focus on where the babies need us most urgently. We launched 70 Disciples in 2023 to recruit others to change this. In February of this year, we started to reach every mother when they arrived but not as they left.

On the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June (the same feast day that Roe v. Wade was overturned two years prior), Christians committed to have a constant presence at the facilities from open to close to reach every mother coming and going! Thank you, Jesus, for answering our prayers through Mary Our Mother to completely cover these facilities! Catholics for Life staff and volunteers now cover nearly 60 hours, and two other ministries and individuals cover over 10 hours.

What we need now are several partners to join people who are outside the facility by themselves. Visit CatholicsForLife.us/FacilityMinistry to see the times a prayer partner is needed. Please promote them and pray we fill them all! We did have 20 new volunteers come out just this month!

When Christians are there 1 out of every 50 mothers cancel their appointment! We have now seen 140 mothers turn-away or even tell us they are definitely keeping their children (like "Mom L" whose twins are pictured below)! Just this month, we gave literature to 63 people, abortion pill reversal information to 4 mothers, had two mothers go to the pregnancy resource center instead, and one baby definitely be rescued! Two girls could not find Your Choice Healthcare. We gave them literature and explained that we know many people who regret their abortion. The friend driving yelled, “It's a sign!” We expressed how it is a grace from God that they cannot find the facility. That He is giving her another chance to do the right thing and love her baby. After finally driving to find the abortion facility, they immediately came back down the driveway and let us know that she was keeping her baby. They were going to the pregnancy center! “Katherine” was in joyful tears! Praise God! Your support is saving lives for the glory of God!
