“Divinely Orchestrated Encounters”

March 30, 2023A young mother was driving around the single driveway going back to six different businesses. She was looking for the abortion facility but could not find it. We waved her down from the sidewalk and she stopped her car to talk to us and take some information for the pregnancy center nearby. Her name was Aisha. She said that she is considering the abortion because she is no longer with the father, and she already has two children. We told her that she already has three children who all need her to protect them. After we spoke about adoption, she said thank you, but still put Your Choice Healthcare in her GPS and drove away. We prayed intently asking for Our Lady’s intercession and said the memorare to Saint Joseph. After a few minutes, she pulled back into the driveway and our hearts sank as we were sure she had found the facility and was driving back there as we have seen so many people do. To our surprise, she rolled down her window and exclaimed through tears, “I just want to thank you. I did not even want to do this!” She explained how she was turning around to go to the Pregnancy Decision Health Center!
By the grace of God, we confirmed three other babies saved this month and two women who turned away from the abortion facility. Five mothers took information about healing ministries and the mercy of Christ from us as they were leaving. Twenty pregnant women took information from us in total, some of them wanting details on abortion pill reversal. We unfortunately saw one of the women who talked to us at her consultation come back for her abortion appointment. We were also able to speak to an abortion worker and talk to the Specific Waste Industries’ driver picking up the bodies of babies killed at Planned Parenthood. We had the sad experiences of having two of our signs stolen (although we recovered them in a dumpster), seeing a client with a rosary hanging in her car and counting the most clients we have ever seen in one day: 43. We now have two more shifts covered for our 70 Disciples Initiative, with only sixteen to go! As for those passing by the facility, we were able to give information about Christianity to a post-abortive Muslim man who had talked to us before and try to share truth with two women who follow a false messiah.
Danielle was another woman just passing by that led to an incredible encounter. She went
through the drive-through next to Your Choice Healthcare and stopped to ask about pregnancy resources. The baby's father initially said he wanted the baby, but he now wants her to have an abortion. She told us that she had abortions in the past, but she cannot do that to another child. She is nervous to raise this baby on her own. After telling her about several resources and a healing ministry, we gave her an image of Jesus with the gospel on it. She teared up as she got it, and we prayed with her! What a providential encounter!
Our Torchbearers event had a training, Mass, sidewalk counseling, and an outreach at the Ohio Statehouse where half a dozen people stopped at our table. One man wants to come to Mass with us, another was a homeless man we connected to a health clinic, and another changed his mind on abortion in all cases! Our monthly Friday Initiative included Mass, counseling, and outreach at the Ohio State University. We also had a third street outreach this month at the Westerville Library to talk to the people there collecting signatures for the proposed ballot referendum that would amend the Ohio Constitution to essentially allow abortion on demand through all nine months. Thousands of signatures have already been collected. We will be taking more action to oppose this. All Ohioans must be telling people to decline to sign and urging them to vote no if this horrendous proposal ends up on the ballot this fall.
