Catholics for Life seeks to end abortion while sharing the gospel with all we encounter!
While our ministry will work with individuals of other faiths to rescue children, we will never hinder from sharing the truth that salvation is found in Jesus Christ through His Catholic Church alone.
God exists. The material world has to have a Creator. The One God is a community of Three Persons eternally existing in love. God has revealed Himself to His creation throughout history. God loves you. He created you out of love to be in a relationship with you. He has a plan for your life (1 Jn 4:16; Jer. 29:11). Our sin has separated us from God. The consequence of sin is eternal death in hell separated from God (Rom 3:23, 6:23). The Good News is that God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to redeem human nature by taking on human flesh, atone for the sins of mankind by dying on the cross, and to conquer death by rising from the dead (Jn 3:16). All can receive the free, undeserved gift of salvation and the Holy Spirit by repenting of their sins, believing in the work of Jesus, and being baptized into His Catholic Church (Eph. 2:8-9: Acts 2:38). Jesus established the Catholic Church to teach in His name, empower us with His grace, and to restore us to salvation if we fall (Mt. 16:18-19; 1 Jn. 1:9). If we remain in Christ and continue to persevere in "faith working in love" (Gal. 5:6), God's grace will make us into saints ready to share in the heavenly wedding feast, beholding the glory of the Most Holy Trinity for all eternity. Our team embraces the truth and beauty of the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself on His Apostles nearly two-thousand years ago. The fullness of God's revelation has been given to the world through all that Jesus's Apostles taught which was recorded for us in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition (2 Thess. 2:15). The bishops throughout history, as successors of the Apostles, have safe-guarded the fullness of Christian revelation through the Magisterium- the infallible teachings of the Catholic Church (Lk 10:16; 1 Cor. 11:2; 1 Tim 4:14). It is the very teachings of these successors that gave all Christians the canon of scripture in the Fourth Century. The Bible is a Catholic book; without the Catholic Church, we would not have the infallible canon of books necessary for the Bible to be trusted as the inspired Word of God. Grace is continually poured out into our world and souls through the Church's sacramentsof baptism (Mt. 28:19), confirmation (Acts 8:14–17), the Eucharist (Mt. 26:26-29), reconciliation (Jn. 20:23), anointing of the sick (James 5:14), marriage (Mt. 19:6), and holy orders (Acts 6:3-6). Thousands of years have produced an array of rites, liturgies, prayers, devotions, religious orders, and saints to guide and help us.
The Catholic Church's unchanging doctrines have guided mankind's morality since the First Century, especially opposing abortion, contraception, sexual impurity, and the breakdown of marriage as a life-long covenant between one man and one woman.
We believe that abortion will not be ended until it is fought with the full force of God's grace, especially that of the Eucharist- Christ's Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity made present to us under the appearance of bread and wine (John 6:48-58), - and the intercession of Mary- the Immaculate Mother of God (Lk. 1:28; Jn. 19:27).
"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing... It is to these millions who believe wrong things about the Church... that this... is sent. It is not to prove that they are 'wrong'; it is not to prove that we are 'right'; it is merely to present the truth in order that the truth may conquer through the grace of God." -Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. If you are a Christian who has heard arguments condemning the Catholic faith, read this short summary of Catholic teachings to be presented with the truth. "The truth will set you free." (Jn 8:32)
